Say Jane Blur is a character on the tv show Who Knows You. Is her name trademarked? : I could be wrong, but I always thought a trademark was a name or mark on a product, example- Nike is written on their shoes and clothing. Isn't Nike a trademark? : I've learn that Mickey Mouse was a trademark. How is that? Isn't Mickey Mouse just a name? : If Mickey Mouse is a trademark, is Superman, Wonderwoman, spiderman, and all those other famous cartoon characters trademark as well? : What makes Mickey Mouse a trademark? : I hope someone can help me or at least point me in the direction, where I can find out. : Thank you. Dear Archeive, The registerability of a character as a trademark is a matter of knowing how to turn the character into trademark use. Some trademarks are originally in character form. M.
