Hi,

I have M.Sc. degree (Computer Science) from foreign university and I'm considering a career as a patent attorney.

I have understood that law degree is required for that.
Is this true and what kind of law degree is needed?
(I'm not very familiar with US education system
e.g. is it JD or LLM).

How long the required "law degree" will typically last
if you are working full-time ?

I was hoping that it is possible to take something like
1-year program (maybe LLM) if you have Master degree
in some other field.

Thanks,
deng
