: I have a product that I've designed and built and wish to take to a manufacturer. For the sake of argument, let's say it's a dog house. The design is very unique and while the method of construction is somewhat original I don't believe there are any patent rights that would apply. I believe I could get a design copyright but am not sure how much protection that would provide me.
