Help![ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Trademark Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Ewan on March 22, 2000 at 06:39:55: Hope someone can help with this hypothetical situation: A UK company registers a domain name, say, worker.co.uk with the intention of selling products online to UK residents only, information only will of course be available to all those who browse the site. The trading name in the UK is worker.co.uk A USA organisation has registered the trademark, worker, in the USA with the relevant authorities. The worker.com domain is owned by a third, Canadian company though no online business is being conducted. Question: will the UK company be breaking any trademark laws when they go online? Is their trading name itself likely to cause any problems? Thanks in advance.
