: In regards to Janice question, I have a similar question. I want to protect my business trade name. The business/trade name is registered in my state. Am I basically protected from anyone in the world or US having a business name with the same name?
: What if my companies name is KoKo's. How can I also protect it from being slightly modified. Like Ko Ko's. This time the name has no space in between.

: Thanks for the help. Mike

Dear Mike,
Tradenames are not easy to protect. Trademarks and Service Marks can be registered and have fangs to stop infringers. One has to understand the difference and be able to use them.
