For example, say the busines name is "grandmas foods" and we create and sell "grandmas grape jelly", "grandmas extra sour candy" and so on. Do we trademark "grandmas" in the jelly and candy categories, do we trademark "grandmas foods" in each category, or do we trademark each product name in its category? Would I want to come up with a cool way to write "grandmas" with a recognizable symbol and then trademark it, or should I trademark just the word "grandmas" before we come up with any products????? : Dear Molly, : The first thing to do is to have a trademark search to see if you can use Grandma's. : M.
