I believe that if you give your idea to the organization freely then chances are they will get to use your idea and you will have no remedy. However, since you are submitting information to a rather large organization, they probably have specific forms and contracts that deal with just your kind of problem. However, if you can't afford that, make sure you read their contract or understand their procedure and determine if there is a waiver of whatever rights you may have in your idea. In submitting information to a large corporation the worse thing you can do is sign a waiver saying that they will not be liable for taking your idea and giving you no compensation.
