I believe you are thinking about the old way to get around registering for a copyright, which doesn't really matter anymore anyway since you no longer have to regiser to get a copyright. Copyrights and patents aren't the same thing.

: i know you can mail yourself a patent and have patent pending i just dont know what detail or important stuff has to be mailed to myself. does such a thing still around and if so is it legal? and what exactly do i do? please help the world must have what i can give thanks maggie
