: Perhaps a Patent Agent could reply to my question. : I simply would like to know if in the header section of ANY patent where the area know as: PARENT CASE TEXT is located and if included. If there are indication of abandonment of prior patents owned by the same entity, does that stetement on the latest dated patent of extension claims make the prior patents mentioned to be abandoned to be WORTHLESS OR DEFUNCT? : It reads: : << This is a Continuation-In-Part of U.S. patent application Ser. No. 08/149,xxx, filed Nov. 9, 199x, now U.S. Pat. No. 5,409,xxx which is a Continuation-In-Part of U.S. patent application Ser.
