I am currently a Jr. Research Associate working in the Biotech industry with 3 years experience. I possess a BS in Biochemistry and have aspirations of becoming a patent attorney. I am undecided if I should pursue my Masters in biotechnology on a part time basis while continuing to gain experience in the industry or do I take my knowledge and apply to law school now. Or do I have it all wrong and going to get my PhD the first necessary stride in becoming a patent attorney in the biotech sector. In the long run would it be beneficial to posses a higher degree when seeking my first position as a patent attorney?
