I have an idea that invloves the modification of an
existing product to increase it's performance by
many folds. It is low cost and the company currently
does not have such a feature on it's product. But, as
a young inventor, I have no clue on how to start. I'm
very tempted to call the manufacturer and have a chat
with them but I'm afraid they'd scam me. I'd like to
get a patent ...but can I can get once since it is
not really a product & just a component? Plus I know
patents are very expensive since I'm on a student
budget. what's the best way to approach the company
to sell my idea. I have a functioning prototype and
everything just waiting for the right time to act.
