US IP Law School, how to select?[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Patent Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Chinese Patent Agent on March 19, 2002 at 17:30:53: Dear all, I'm a qualified Chinese patent agent with 5-year experience in a top5 IP firm of China. Because many patents I dealt with here are US patents, I intend to study US patent law this year in a US law school and come back to China after 1-2 year patent practice in US after graduation. I have some questions: 1. Should I enrol in Franlin Pierce Law Center (IP ranking: 3, total ranking: 4th tier), Boston U (IP ranking: 9, total ranking: 27) or U of Houston (IP ranking: 4, total ranking: 50) to pursue my M.I.P or LL.M. degree, if I am admitted by the three law schools at the same time? - about the ranking again :) 2. After graduation with MIP or LLM and passing US patent bar, is it difficult for me, a foreigner, to find a US patent/IP firm or big corporation to practice around 1~2 years? (I have passed Chinese lawyer bar and patent bar) Thanks in advance!!!
