To protect the idea it must be kept secret. To get somone to look as it they have to sing a confidentiality agreement. : It is not easy to get a signature and particularly for a "pig in a poke". It has been done and can be done but it is not usually easy. : If it is patentable, then there is more to sell. JUst getting a patent is expensive.
