Can't afford a patent[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Patent Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Mary on December 03, 2001 at 22:32:21: I'm like most people--I have a wonderful invention and I don't have the $$ to patent it. I'd like to find a company that will buy my idea. I would like to show it to possible customers after they have signed a Non Disclosure Agreement, and if they like the product they could buy my idea and patent and market it themselves. Would it be better for me to make a few of these items and sell them to show that they are indeed marketable? If I did produce and sell these items, would it infringe on the ability to get a patent? If I produced and sold these items, and my idea was taken and patented by someone else, would I still be able to produce and market these items?
