"First to Invent Clause"[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Patent Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Frank D'Angelo on November 09, 2000 at 14:50:31:
I have documentation to prove I was the first to invent a new product. Two inventors just recieved a patent in January 2000, the first issue date was in 1997. I can prove I was the first to invent this new product with drawings and documentation in 1989. Can I make a claim based on the "first to invent clause", even though I just recently found out a patent was issued to two other people.
