ABC's of obtaining a design Patent[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Patent Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by John WorldPeace on September 24, 2000 at 01:58:02: I am an attorney in Houston, Texas. I personally have an design idea. The best example that I can give is: My idea is similar to the idea of moving the stering wheel from the left to the right side of a car. The product that I am wanting to redesign is almost as recognizable as an automobile and will be as common as a microwave oven within five years or less. I only want to redesign a part of it; like moving the stering wheel. Questions. 1) How can I protect the design idea from the attorney or agent I employ to help me? Please email me a copy of your answer at johnwrldpc@aol.com. John WorldPeace, Attorney at Law
