Any help would be greatly : Thanks in advance. : W From what you say there is good reason to be enraged. The law unfortunately is not "fair", it is just there. Even if there has been a violation of criminal law you could be on the wrong end of a libel suit and even lose. From what you say it looks as if it is likely to be expensive for you. It is remote that you will be able to find a lawyer that will handle this on a contingency. Superficially on the basis of what you say your rights may be strong. If you win, you might even be able to get a judgment for your attorney fees. You may have the right to make a criminal complaint. If you do it on an affidavit and he gets acquitted. You are on the wrong end of a suit for libel. If a grand jury indicts you are home free win or lose. It is a crime to use the threat of criminal action to recover even what has been stolen on threat of a criminal proscution or threat of arreat. Once a criminal action has been started they will not help you to get your property back and may even take a complaint if a Civil action is pending. This is not legal advice without reserach and a fee. Just today a read a case the reversed my long standing belief about the right to sue in copyright. (this has nothing to do with what I have said here about you but to exemplifiy the uncertainty of the law. M. Arthur Auslander
