Thank you for your advice. I'm trying really
hard to strip out the emotions, but it's not easy.
I definitely don't want anymore trouble. I may just take the moral high ground. Although revenge is very tempting...

Thanks again!!!!

: From what you say there is good reason to be enraged. The law unfortunately is not "fair", it is just there.

: Even if there has been a violation of criminal law you could be on the wrong end of a libel suit and even lose.

: From what you say it looks as if it is likely to be expensive for you. It is remote that you will be able to find a lawyer that will handle this on a contingency.

: Superficially on the basis of what you say your rights may be strong. If you win, you might even be able to get a judgment for your attorney fees.

: You may have the right to make a criminal complaint. If you do it on an affidavit and he gets acquitted. You are on the wrong end of a suit for libel. If a grand jury indicts you are home free win or lose.

: It is a crime to use the threat of criminal action to recover even what has been stolen on threat of a criminal proscution or threat of arreat.

: Once a criminal action has been started they will not help you to get your property back and may even take a complaint if a Civil action is pending.

: This is not legal advice without reserach and a fee. Just today a read a case the reversed my long standing belief about the right to sue in copyright. (this has nothing to do with what I have said here about you but to exemplifiy the uncertainty of the law.
