I am graduating lawschool in about a year and a half, I have a BS in Biology with two years of research experience before I came to law school. I also plan on taking the Patbar ths summer. I was dead set on trying to get on with a law firm after graduation. Then the economy tanked....and now I can't even get a summer internship with a firm for this upcomming summer. From what I've been reading the best experiance next for working in a Patent law firm is with the USPTO, but I see all these former attorneys in the USPTO applicant forum with advanced degrees and years of experiance applying to the USPTO. Are they all laid off from firms, burned out or what?
