Can someone explain to me the meaning of the term "brightline rule": I'm a UK student and this term appears in Festo and generally in US law, I'm interested in:
a) generally what does it mean?
b) why the particular name "bright line" - is it related to a specific case, a customary term?
c) does modern US jurisprudence favour such rules - since when?
