beverage recipe containing 2 products?

Ok, first off I love making new recipes of alcoholic beverages. But my ideas are more for making mixed drinks and not a whole new product. Is there any way that I can patent the idea or recipe for mixing two known base products to make a new mixed drink. Or can you even patent mixed drinks?

If anyone can help me on this please get back to me. Thanks

It should be hypothetically possible to patent the recipe.  As with anything else, your formula and/or process must be considered novel and "non-obvious."
