PhD Materials Science Engineer to DC
« on: 09-13-04 at 12:23 pm »

I have a PhD in Mat Science and Engineering (crystal growth and semiconductor experience) and 1 yr Post doc at a national lab. I have two questions:

1) are there many firms in DC area/ Maryland that are looking for someone w/PhD without a JD? How would I find them... (tried here and only found 1)

2) if i get hired as a technical specialst/patent agent in the DC area what type of salary is typical? (the one hit may pan out, so i need to know what $$ is typical)

I am looking to relocate to the area for family reasons.

Thanks for any help.
