MS in Biotechnology Studies sufficient?

Hi.

I have a law degree. However I do not have a science degree. I am very interested in patent law and was wondering about doing an online MS in Biotechnology Studies from the University of Maryland University College. Would this suffice the technical aspect of sitting for the exam? I checked the USPTO website but it hasn't been much help. I also talked to someone at the OED but they said they cannot evaluate a degree before completion. I would appreciate any assistance.
