Hello everybody,

I was wondering if there is a forum where I can discuss studying for the MPEP with other people who might be studying for the patent bar exam.

Normally, I don't like to respond unless I think I have something on-point to contribute.  However, I think it's better to respond with something rather than nothing.

I don't know of any forums specifically dedicated to patent bar study.

However, I don't see why you couldn't post your questions here.  I'm sure there are areas of the MPEP that my practice hasn't touched in years and I could use a bit of a refresher.  However, as I've posted elsewhere in this forum, practitioners have to limit the amount of time they spend here.  So I'm sure many regulars will opt-out of academic discussions from time to time.

Regards.

I personally don't mind the academic MPEP questions.    Sometimes the academic questions entice some discussion of practical nuances from the more experienced practitioners  and I find that discussion particularly valuable.

There is a forum on yahoo that was specifically set up for this kind of discussion.   I've heard that the moderator is charging $29 to sign up for the group.

I would suggest the Michael Ries PatentBar group on Yahoo.

There are many Yahoo groups about the Patent Bar, but this one is free and has the most members (1900+).

You can sign up for it at:
