word usage  Vs tradenames/trademarks
« on: 03-23-07 at 02:47 pm »

Looking for a little help. We use a word for one of our services. lets say wine cellar. Someone has contacted us saying they own the rights (ie trademarked) and we should cease using it? Seems a stretch to me. I understand he has a trade mark with distinguishable font and design  but surely that is that different than than us using the same word.   ???
