Good morning Mr. Vagedes.  I am not sure if you will remember me but I wanted to update you on my progress after you have so kindly given me some of your time.  I have taken your advice and suggestions and things are starting to finally move after years of nothing. Per your advice I have found two great students at our local university, one a marketing major and the other is a mechanical engineer.  They  really like the idea and we have negoiated a partnership although neither of us have the money.  They also really liked your suggestions regarding changing the design of the idea.  It did make it more consumer friendly and also better to manufacturer.  Thank you so much.

The reason I tell you all this is we are at a point where we are looking for some money.  With the two new graduating college students on board, I feel this idea has more substance behind it than it ever did and wanted to point that out.  I wanted to post here in case you may have a renewed interest or somebody else had an interest.  Some friends suggested that I seek venture capitalist and wanted to possibly get your thoughts on how to gain their interest.

Hi Samantha, glad to hear that things are finally moving forward.  Although I am still going to pass, I will provide some insight to your question.

With the kind of investment you are seeking you are probably looking more for an Angel Investor.  The focus of angel investors is typically providing seed money to launch a start-up product/company while Venture Capital firms focus primarily on the next stage of business development after the company has some business history and successes behind it. 

Building a team is a great first step.  I would suggest that you now create a detailed Business and Marketing plan.  Your marketing partner should have a good ideal of this process.  Once you have created your business plan boil it down to an Executive Summary consisting of 2 or 3 pages to send out to various Angel Investors.  Keep it short and concise and be sure to include an exit strategy. If they want to learn more you can send them the full plan.  I’m sure if you Google Angel Investors you will probably find many names to submit your Executive Summary to.

Since receiving questions, thought I would post here again.

If a product meets certain criteria, a license agreement will be entered into.  Then, at my own expense I will take your concept, from napkin to prototype to packaging of finished product.   I will develop and execute the marketing plan.  Royalities will be paid to you as a % of units sold.

I am not an invention marketing company and will not ask you for money.  Only WOW ideas!
