odd t-shirts

Hello,
just wondering how is it possible that internet is full of online-shops selling crazy t-shirts with for example disney characters smoking weed or saying weird things? The point is, who is controlling online-shops and are the copyright laws different in different countries which makes possible to sell those shirts for example in europe or asia?

Best regards,

Joni

I think the internet and the world wide market has caught some corporations a bit off balance.

They can't be everywhere so they stick around the easy places like eBay.

I have an email buddy in Singapore who told me that if a person is caught selling counterfeit merchandise they have to make a public apology in the paper and make financial restitution.  Don't know that for a fact but don't think she would make that up.

Dear Joni,

At least under the UCC a national copyright is registerable in all of the participating countries if the proper proceedure is followed. There can be no copyright enforcement until the copyright is registered in the country in which it is to be enforced.
