NDA for television show
« on: 01-09-07 at 02:36 pm »

Hi all,

Am new to the board, and came across it in search for some information about the subject heading.

An associate have devised a reality show concept, and wish to protect it as much as legally possible as we develop it. In my limited legal consultations, I have been informed that our alternatives to this end are : a) Sending the material express to ourselves, and b) Shooting a mock episode.

Having done a), we are partnering up with a professional to complete b). In doing so, we are seeking to hold all participants - and those privvy to our idea - to an NDA.

My curiosity was twofold: a) Can a reality show television concept enjoy such protection and b) Is there a place to find a reliable NDA (Default one), without our company having to disbourse any fees? (Cost is always a concern)

Many thanks, and look forward to participating - and in turn - learning from my experiences here!

I think an important question is whether anyone who could help get your show on TV would sign any NDA.   You might want to sort that out before you go to any effort or expense.
