Trademark infringement on crafts

I melt wine and liquor bottle to make various crafts (cheeseboards,etc.).  If I melt a bottle and use the original label is that infringement or do I need permission?

That's a difficult question.  Because the bottles/labels are genuine, and consumers aren't likely to be confused as to source or affiliation (I believe), you might steer clear of tm infringement issues.  Some more detailed research into the issue, including a careful reading of Ford Motor Co. v. Ultra Coachbuilders Inc., (C.D. Cal. 2000) and similar cases, may be helpful.
