I have a claim that says “…the side portion extending forward…”.

There is no other reference in the claim to what the side portion is extending forward of.

I went to the specification and find a reference to the side portion extending forward of an interior space.

Since the claim itself does not link "forward" to anything, is this aggregation?

Does the specification in this case explain away the incompleteness of the claim?
