NFL, NCAA, NBA, etc Logo Usage
« on: 09-12-06 at 07:14 am »

Good day to all...

Is it possible to create a web site or page to allow users to connect into a community based blog that uses the NFL, NCAA, NBA, etc team logo?  Each user will have the ability to create a blog for a team of his or her choice (Atlanta Falcons, Edmonton Oilers, UCLA Bruins, etc..).  Are there any legal issues for utilizing the logo of the aforementioned leagues?  This site will not advertise or sell any merchandise.

Please respond...

Thanks in advacne.

Strictly speaking, yes, you likely run afoul of trademark law by using team logos on a website.  Whether or not you'll run into trouble for doing so in the context described is another issue altogether.
