would i be sued if i made and sold something similar to this.. it seems like this is something thats been around for years on end.. its like one of those old clothes wringers...and like a laminator.. this design as far as i can see is not something special.

Don't know.  Is there a patent on it?  Is the patent still in effect (not expired or lapsed)?  Who owns it?  Are they aggressive in enforcing their IP?  

And, that's just the "patent" component of the "will I get sued?" question.  There are all sorts of other things you can get sued for.  

Attorneys really aren't able to tell you whether you'll get sued because that's just too difficult to predict.  Attorneys are better as assessing your chances of winning the suit -- that's where the law and facts actually have some relevance.

Dear studiomixer3d,

If you don't copy, infringe trademarks and avoid patent claims it is easy to avoid being sued. I in doubt an IP consult early can save bundle.
