Renewing Dead TM

Hello,
We owned a trademark that is now dead and want to renew it.  Can we renew it or do we have to re-apply for it?  Also, how long will this take approximately?

Depending on why it's dead and for how long, you might be able to revive it.  If not, you'll have to file a new application.
