Hello,
  I was wondering.   When you have two embodiments of your invention and the first two figures describe one and the next 2 describe the other, is it ok to put "embodiment" in this seciton?

Figure 1 is a cross-section of a XVB
Figure 2 is a top-view perspective of the XVB
Figure 3 is a cross-section of an embodiment of a XVB
Figure 4 is a top-view perspective of the embodiment of the XVB

I'd suggest that your FIGs should always show an embodiment and not the invention.   Your detailed description should describe embodiments and not the invention.   Only the summary of the invention will talk about the invention which is one reason why some commentators recommend omitting it.

FIG. 1 is a plan of a XVB according to an embodiment of the invention

FIG. 2 is a cross section of the XVB shown in FIG. 1

FIG. 3 is a prespective view of a circular widget of the XVB shown in FIG. 1.

FIG. 4 is a plan view of an XVB according to another embodiment of the invention.
