Selling sports photographs I take
« on: 07-04-04 at 09:16 am »

I am a photographer.  I take photographs of a few MINOR League Baseball teams.  I print my own photographs and have been selling them to the players.

My questions are:

What are a photographers rights to sell his/her own photos?

Where am I allowed to sell my photgraphs?

Am I violating licensing by selling my own photographs?  (the teams don't have any published notices about photography as MLB has)

Since I am not altering logos/likeness/etc, do I have anything to worry about?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

I also recently took some photographs of a professional sports team (NFL team) at training camp.  I originally took them just because I was excited about the team, but now someone, after seeing my photographs, wants to purchase some of them.

This training camp is free and open to the public on a college campus.  I saw no actual signs saying that no photos could be taken/sold and the teams website itself encourages you to bring a camera to take pictures?  Do I have any problems with selling these photos?
