Dear All,

For your information there are many trademark infringement cases in Indonesia. The Indonesian trademark office use the 'first-to-file' system for trademark infringements. Hope this info will be useful for any marks owners on protecting their marks in Indonesia.

I own a US mark and have been using it for commerce (selling) many years on the net.

Will Indonesian court hold me in infringement if another person register my mark in Indonesia and then later I open an office  in Indonesia?

Does Indonesia court holds an internet website as prior commerce in Indonesia even if you have not made a sale is my question?

Does anyone know how does this apply to other countries such as Hong Kong, China, Japan, England?  Thanks
