Antique Calenders

I have a collection of antique calenders, sales memorbilia, and cartoons and jokes.   If I make high quality prints of these items and tell people they are just buying a copy, am I OK.

Well in my opinion you are guilty of copyright infringement.

You can take the original page and frame it, but you can't copy it.  High quality or not.

"Well in my opinion you are guilty of copyright infringement."

Huh? What does antique mean in this context?

I hate to keep posting these links :-)

"I have a collection of antique calenders, sales memorbilia, and cartoons and jokes."

If you are distributing in the U. S. see this chart:
http://www.copyright.cornell.edu/training/Hirtle_Public_Domain.htm

If that chart defines your collection as public domain, you can do anything you want with it. (this is NOT advice -- you might read the chart wrong, etc.)

" If I make high quality prints of these items and tell people they are just buying a copy, am I OK. "

If public domain, yes. But others may be able to copy your copy without restriction:

Get the competitative edge by offering the best quality, or including supplimental material, etc.
