Trademark Question
« on: 02-09-06 at 01:23 am »

Can I trademark a two words together if they are common words.... For example if I wanted to trademark "Super Internet" and I was using that in conjunction with a product or service, would that be rejected?

The reason I ask is I read in a post that someone tried to trademark "baby Isis" and it was rejected because there was an existing application for isis. I don't understand how that would be rejected since the two words baby and isis are form a single term together and she was not trying to use "Isis" by itself.

The test for registerability is whether or not the proposed mark would be confusingly similar to an existing mark, not whether the marks are identical.
