First, when registering a television program in the uspto, it seems that the "international class" to use is 041.  When I search the register, I see multiple U.S. classes listed afterward "IC 041" and these classes do not appear on the USPTO site.  Have they been added by the PTO? Is there somewhere I am not looking?

Second, ideally, I would prefer to register the new name in all countries party to the Madrid Protocol initially, as opposed to just registering it in the U.S. using the PTO online method.  Although I know that you can't as yet use the PTO to register for the Madrid Protocol online, it still isn't clear that the PTO will accept the Madrid application in full and the bifurcated payment procedure (submit swiss francs for Madrid and us dollars for the PTO as a pass-through) is confusing.

Has anyone been through this?

Thanks very much.

Dear Mr. Richardson,

It is unclear if you are concerned with copyright or Trademark. If you have anything of value It is hard do understand how you can proceed without having competant legal counsel.

There are treaty rights but that still requires individual registrations in each country.

In the US you have to pay in dollars the exact amont of the Official Fees.
