Franchise-service business trademark

I am adding on to my existing service business, and was wondering if there is any difference in registering as a servicemark or trademark if I will be selling franchises?  The actual business sold to franchisees will be service-only, however I question whether a servicemark will be sufficient.  When I sell a franchise it will include tangible items such as manuals, a business plan, and software that I am creating, as well as intangibles like the ability to use the health insurance pool and business insurance pool to get special rates, the idea/concept, training, etc.

Dear Laura,

The registration system is the same for trademarks and service marks. The law is the same too. Do you understand the law?
