patent agent - career advice
« on: 01-17-06 at 01:37 pm »

I need some career advice. I received my Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry last year and I am now a research scientist at a pharmaceutical company in San Diego. I want to pursuit a career in becoming a patent agent because I always love to read and write. Can anyone give me some advice on how to being this transition? Are there law firms (especially in California) that are will to accept Ph.D. scientists and train them to become patent agents? Any information will be appreciated.
