the law in different countries

I am starting up a company called labrador clothing that sells t-shirts in the uk but there is a company in Japan called labrador retriever that also sells t-shirts. Is an infringement of copyright? Shall I continue? My website is www.labradorclothing.com and the other one is www.labrador.co.jp

I've seen this post under two other names. Get to it and do it right! Geographic marks have there own special set of problems.
