moving into business development from IP

Hi, I'm a registered patent agent and organic chemist with pharma background.  However, I'm not too happy with this line of work but believe that my background and experience could be well utilized in a business development role.  Does anyone have experience or knowledge of moving from patent prosecution into business development?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  Thanks.
