Cross-reference related PCTs?
« on: 02-08-12 at 08:24 pm »

In standard US nonprovisional applications, if you are filing two related applications, you include as a section in the specification a "Cross-Reference to Related Applications".  I am now filing two related PCT applications.  These are first file PCT applications, no priority claim to any national applications.  Is there a similar "Cross-Reference to Related Applications"  in PCT applications?

Thanks.

While you could include a cross reference section in the PCT application (to save yourself the trouble of adding it when entering the U.S. national phase), I am not aware of anything in the PCT rules that requires related applications to be cross referenced.
