Profile pictures from public Facebook pages

There is a website listing information about international restaurants which have public Facebook pages. Is it legal to download photos (mostly restaurant logos and interior pictures) presented in restaurants’ profile folders on Facebook and upload them for relevant restaurants on the website?

No. 

Many people have a misconception that anything posted on "public" internet pages may be freely copied and used.

That is not true.  Pictures and other content posted on the Internet are still fully protected by copyright laws.
