UK High Court Decision on Business Method Patent
« on: 08-04-05 at 08:24 am »

In rejecting two patent applications on the basis that the applicant was attempting to patent a business method (a statutory exclusion under the EPC and in the UK) Peter Prescott QC sitting as a deputy judge on the UK High Court discusses in remarkable detail the issue of what is an invention under UK patent law.

His discussion of software patents is among the most well-informed and comprehensive that you will find anywhere. A MUST READ for anyone interested in patenting software in the UK.
