Printing a Movie Still

Take an old movie, capture an image digitally (movie still) print it on a t-shirt for example and sell it to friends, am I infringing the movie's copyrights?

I think so. If you don't reproduce and sell, there is little likelihood of being challenged. If is before 1923, no problem.
