Royalty Rates

Can anyone recommend a treatise that gives Royalty Rates for various Copyright works?

And, when dealing with a large company, how much negotiating power do you really have with the royalty rate (esp if you are a small artist/seller, as opposed to a famous artist)?  For example, if dealing woth someone on equal footing (i.e.., you're both small entities), you might expect to get 8-10 percent for original artwork.  However, when small deals with large company, would you expect 50% of the 'expected' royalty rate?  25% of the expected/standard roylty, where the bargaining power is fairly lopsided?  (and I understand it also depends on net vs gross, etc...).

Thanks for any insight...

*Bump*
Just wondering if anyone has  any experience in dealing with the disporportionate bargaining power between (very) small Copyrght Holder and Lg Company in negotiating Royalty Rates.

Of course the fear is that the Lg Company really low-balls the royalty rate.  As a small C Holder, do you just take it up the tailpipe until you get better known?  How do you counsel small C Holders: Just a warning about the disporportionate bargaining power, tell them a typical 'range' and reiterate the risk (that they will assume) that Lg Company could walk away to another if you counter?  Or do Lg Companies expect a counter offer?  Or do they usually entertain the counter but say this is the best we can do, so take it or leav it?  Of course, client always makes the decision, just wondering what you do to counsel your small C client...

Thanks for any insight...

Client does seem hesitant to file for Registration.  OF course they are still (limited) protection, but no Stat Dmgs or Potential Attny fees.  And Registration as a prerequisite to bring suit in Fed Ct.  I will again recommend Registration (even if they do it themselvs) just to give them a greater vantage if they need to protect their C Rights...

Thanks again.
