Copy write a name of a book

Hello
I have a couple of names Isaved for books that are half finished I keep getting encouraged to copywrite them.  could you please send advice to me as I have no clue where to start.  Also I have some great phrases for shirts was wondering if I could keep those as well?

Dear Ms. Gershenbaum,

From the US Copyright Office's FAQ page.

"Copyright does not protect names, titles, slogans, or short phrases. In some cases, these things may be protected as trademarks. Contact the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, 800-786-9199, for further information. However, copyright protection may be available for logo artwork that contains sufficient authorship. In some circumstances, an artistic logo may also be protected as a trademark."
