structural names list?
« on: 11-24-11 at 04:00 am »

I am looking for a list of structural names that can be used in patents, preferably without invoking 112P6. If there is already such a list, perhaps a link would do. If not, perhaps people can contribute preferably the generic structural names, like e.g. "a fastener - an element that fasten two or more elements together".

This search has originated from looking for structures which a "protocol" can be pinned to. I was thinking, that maybe  "a processor" or "a memory" would suffice, but I was wondering if there are structural names, that would also suggest the purpose of the protocol. I suspect that a protocol is not a structural name, and that I can not claim as a device element "a some-adjective protocol". Any other structural names would also be appreciated, and be useful for future reference.
